The Poorana Brahmam Temple was established in the year 2001 by Siddha Yogi Sri Siva Shankar Baba. Its full name is the 'Hari Hara Hiranya Garba Veera Venkata Sathya Narayana Sri Siva Shankara Poorana Brahmam Temple'. On Vaikunta Ekadasi day in 2001, the Pooranabrahmam idol was installed in Neelankarai. On 6th of April 2001, the idol was shifted to RamaRajya at Kelambakkam. On 7th of April, the temple Kumbabishekam for the idol was performed.

The temple tower (Gopuram) is shaped like the Diamond Crown of Lord Venkatachalapathy of Tirupathi with a Gold dome (Kalasam) on the top. On the four corners of the tower, there are four statues of saints or mahaans - Sai Baba of Shirdi, Koti mahaan, Saint Raghavendra and Paramacharya of Kanchi. The PooranaBrahmam temple has no doors on any of the sides of the Sanctum Sanctorum. It is open on all sides, so different from the dark, dinghy interiors of many South Indian temples. The temple represents the five elements - Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space. The idol or the deity, which is five feet and nine inches tall, represents the Mudras of Maha Vishnu and His ten Avatars.
